Jonathan David Brach, 50

Jonathan David Brach, 50, husband of Krista Renee (Burkey) Brach, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at his home in Collegeville.

Born in Norristown, he was the son of the late Thomas and Cynthia (Przybylowski) Brach.

Jonathan was a 7-time marathon runner. He ran in the Marine Corps Marathon and the Philadelphia Marathon. Jonathan was an avid skier and enjoyed skiing with his daughters and friends. Jonathan loved the outdoors and took many hikes with his loved ones. Spending time with his family and friends was most important to Jonathan.

He was a member of St. Eleanor Church in Collegeville.

Surviving along with his wife, Krista of 22 years, are his daughters Claudia Brach and Natalie Brach; sister Linda Brach; brother Andrew Brach, husband of Anna; in-laws Kevin and Devon Burkey and Joyce Burkey; nieces and nephews Jordan Burkey, Miles Burkey, Victoria Brach, and Stephanie Brach.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at 11:00AM, at St. Eleanor Church Catholic Church (647 Locust St, Collegeville, PA 19426). Burial will follow at St. Ann’s Cemetery in Phoenixville. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, from 6:00-8:00PM at Catagnus Funeral Home (595 W. Main St., Trappe, PA 19426). A viewing will also be held on Thursday, November 1, 2023, from 10:00-10:45AM at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pancreatic Cancer HOPE Fund at Penn Medicine’s Abramson Cancer Center in Jonathan’s name at www.penncancer.org.

John was arround when I was in fostercare years ago and has a sweet soul I recently met him again about a year ago and we had fun we did yard work and even tho I'm sad to hear about his passing I'm confident that he is no longer in pain and where ever he is will always be here for his family and watch over you all and I hope you guys can recover from such an awful thing that has occurred to your family I'm am truly sorry for you loss
