Peter E. Tsakonas, 76

Peter E. Tsakonas, 76, formerly of Pottstown, passed away Tuesday October 24, 2023 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading.

Born in Maryland, he was the son of the late Charles and Cleo (Psira) Tsakonas.

Pete had a passion for classic cars and was an avid Eagles fan. He loved music and sang in the band “Mint Condition”. Pete served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War aboard the USS Caloosahatchee. Most of all, Pete loved spending time with his grandkids and attending their sports events. Pete began his career at Mrs. Smith’s Pies as a Supervisor and later as a Driver-salesman. He then spent most of his career as a Driver-salesman at Maier’s Bakery. He finished his career in semi- retirement as a delivery driver for CJ’s Tire.

Surviving is his daughter Melissa Fanelli wife of Rich; son Matt Tsakonas husband of Beth; grandchildren Sophia and Olivia Fanelli, and Madelyn and Colson Tsakonas; brother Jim Tsakonas husband of Ranae; and nephew Adam Tsakonas.

Funeral services will be held Friday November 3, 2023 at 11:30 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, LLC., 711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown, PA 19464. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown. Visitation will be held Friday from 10:00-11:15 AM at the funeral home.

My condolences to the family. Pete was a core memory of my childhood! He was one of the best neighbors a kid could as for! I am so very thankful to have known Pete! one of my favorite memories is seeing his classic cars in the alley and always receiving a friendly remark when I left the house!
