Thomas F. Settefrati, passed away on November 19th, 2023 at the age of 72. Husband to Delores “Lori” (Cassidy) Settefrati for 25 years. Loving father of Thomas A. Settefrati (Jennifer), Joanne Caruso (Robert), and step-daughter Danielle Phillips (Joshua); Admired Pop-Pop of Sean, Tommy, Nicki, Jack, and Alex. He was the son of the late Angelo Settefrati and Concetta (Foresta) Settefrati and younger brother to Michelina “Mickey” Melnyk who passed in 2018.
Tom grew up in the northeast section of Philadelphia and attended Northeast Highschool. He served in the United States Armed Forces - Army. In 2021 he was elected Constable and was currently serving the Township of New Hanover.
From an early age Tom had a passion and aptitude for working with his hands and was typically found turning a wrench on one of his cars, boats or motorcycles. He enjoyed building steam engines, repairing pinball machines, rejuvenating jukeboxes and most recently a full restoration of a Wurlitzer Band Organ. He could fix, figure out and fabricate just about anything mechanical. He used those skills professionally during his tenure at The Budd Company and The Boeing Company.
With a collection of Lionel trains, an array of games of skill and chance, go-karts, remote control cars, his 67 Corvette and other fun and fascinating toys and collectibles, he was eager to give a hands-on tour to any visitors - especially his grandkids. He is one of a kind and he will be deeply missed by his family and friends. A celebration of life will be held privately at a later date.
