Thomas H. Simms, husband of the late Judith A. (Rogers) Simms of North Coventry Township died Thursday, November 23, 2023 at the age of 86, in his home in North Coventry.
Born in Pottsville, he was the son of the late Alfred Sims and Rose (Christ) Sims. He graduated from Pottsville Area High School in 1956. He was a sales rep for Matlock for many years until he created his own company called Transport Systems Inc.
In his retirement, Thomas liked to stay busy by driving cars for Lexus of Chester Springs and singing with the 49ers Chorus. He enjoyed tinkering with model trains and watching baseball. He cherished his grandkids, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, who will miss him dearly.
Surviving are his sons David R. Simms, husband of Molly, of York, and Robert O. Simms, husband of Nary, of North Coventry; daughter Bethanne M. Simms, wife of Keith DeCandido, of the Bronx, New York; five grandchildren, Kelsey M. (Simms) Dever, Gabriella N. Simms, Joshua C. Simms, Sean R. Simms and Ronan A. Simms; brother-in-law Brother David Rogers, FSC, of Lincroft, New Jersey; and two great-grandchildren, Lillian and Rhoslyn Dever
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 11:000am, at St. Aloysius R.C. Church (223 Beech St, Pottstown, PA 19464) with Fr. Maloney officiating. Burial will follow at St. Aloysius New Cemetery. A viewing will also be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, from 9:30-10:45am at the church.
