Joan Lynn (Douthitt) Korchmaros, 73, beloved mother of Jodi Tandett (Seth) and Kevin, and wife of Geza Korchmaros, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Sunrise of Paoli.
Born in Youngstown, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Margaret Douthitt. She was predeceased by her sisters Nancy and June.
Joan loved puzzles, gardening and treasured her dogs through the years. She was a steadfast Ohio State Football fan. Joan very much enjoyed spoiling her four grandchildren (Logan, Hollis, Tripp and East), as well as caring for the kids she worked with at the YMCA.
Surviving along with her husband Geza of 48 years, are her two children, four grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Lark.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at 5 pm at Catagnus Funeral Home (595 W. Main St., Trappe, PA 19426). A visitation for friends and family to gather will also be held on Thursday, December 14, 2023, from 4 pm to 5 pm at the funeral home. A private burial with family will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial tributes in the form of a charitable contribution to one of Joan’s favorite organizations are appreciated.
