James W. Reidnauer, a/k/a “Honey Boy”, 87, formerly of Pottstown, husband of Shirley E. (Kurtz) Reidnauer of 68 years, passed away Friday, December 1, 2023, at the Pottstown Hospital.
Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late James H. and Carrie M. (Master) Reidnauer.
James enjoyed spending time in the mountains, hunting, golfing, bowling, and playing Pinnacle. He was a delivery driver for Schultz’s Bakery in Pottstown and Morabito Bakery in Norristown. James later worked as head custodian in the Spring-Ford School District.
Surviving along with his wife are his sons, James E. Reidnauer, husband of Jo, and Michael M. Reidnauer, husband of Diane; grandchildren James E. II, Brandy, and Stacey; 9 great- grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and his brother, George Reidnauer, husband of Wanda.
Along with his parents, James was predeceased by his sisters, Helen, Betty, and Elsie.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 8, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, LLC, 711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown, PA 19464. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held Friday from 1:30-2:45 PM at the funeral home.
