Douglas M. Pyne, 65, of Boyertown, husband of Karla J. (Eberhart) Pyne, passed away Sunday December 24, 2023 at his residence.
Born in Allentown, Doug was the son of the late Joan C. (Clouden) Pyne, and Kenneth L. and Jean B. Pyne. He was also preceded in death by his parents-in-law, Earl H. and Ida M. (Schanley) Eberhart. They always loved him as their own.
Douglas enjoyed snowmobiling and spending time at his cabin in Potter County. His snowmobiling adventures took him throughout Canada, Maine, New York and to Yellowstone National Park. He was a member of PA State Snowmobile Association and God’s Country Black Forest Snowmobile Club. Above all, Doug most cherished spending time with his grandson Keagen, whom he loved very much.
Surviving along with his wife are his children Dana Pyne husband of Kyle Kramer and Tracy McElroy wife of Kellen; grandson Keagen McElroy; brother Donald Pyne husband of Jennifer; sister Kimberly Pyne; 3 nieces; 2 nephews; and 3 grand puppies.
A memorial service will be held Thursday January 4, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, LLC., 1020 E. Philadelphia Ave., Gilbertsville, PA 19525. Interment will follow at Spangsville Cemetery, Oley. Visitation will be held Thursday from 9:00-10:45 AM at the funeral home.
