George A. Keown, Jr., 64, of Limerick, husband of Maureen (O’Malley) Keown, passed away surrounded by his loving family, Tuesday January 9, 2024 at Suburban Community Hospital, East Norriton.
Born in Norristown, he was the son of the late George A. Sr. and Esther (Maggio) Keown. George is a graduate of Plymouth Whitemarsh high school class of 1977.
George cherished spending time with his family including coaching youth sports for his children while they were growing up. He loved quality time with his granddaughter Grace. George loved the beach and especially enjoyed trips to Sea Isle City. You could always find George outside tending to the gardens or maintaining his lawn. He was an avid Phillies, Flyers, Sixers and Eagles fan and enjoyed watching the games with his family.
Surviving along with his wife are his children Jennifer M. Keown, Shannon A. Keown, and Chris G. Keown; granddaughter Grace A. Keown; sisters Esther Gallagher, Maryann Davis, and Joanne Romano; and numerous nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday January 13, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Teresa of Calcutta, 256 Swamp Pike, Schwenksville, PA 19473. Burial will follow at St. Aloysius New Cemetery, Pottstown. Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:00-10:45 AM at the church.
