Sreenivas Dingari, 60

Sreenivas Dingari lived life as a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend to many. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his whole family on the evening of January 8, 2024, after braving a hard-fought journey with Lymphoma. He was 60 years old.

Sreenivas was born on August 6, 1963 in Hyderabad, India. He is predeceased by his father, Rangachary Dingari, mother, Ranganayaki Pyaraka Dingari, and younger sister, Shailaja Dingari.

Sreenivas was married in 1989 to Kanakadurga, and they soon brought a son Chaitanya into the world in 1990. They had a daughter, Spoorthi, in 2000. Sreenivas was a visionary who traveled halfway across the world alone and constructed the life he wanted from scratch. He arrived in America in the winter of 1994 alone and with his sheer raw talent made a name for himself as a successful engineer, valued by every company he worked for. Over the last 3 decades, he built a happy, loving, and comfortable life for his wife and children. Life was not always kind to Sreenivas, but through it all, he persisted with strength and determination. He was a kind, loyal, selfless soul who lived his life for others.

Sreenivas was also an unmatched genius; the type of person who would work on complex math problems to relax. He graduated with a Bachelor’s in Technology in 1983 from the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University and a Master’s in Technology in 1985 from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. His first job was with CMC Engineering from 1985 - 1994. He then moved on to work at General Electric from 1994 - 1999, and finally, landed at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. in 1999 for the rest of his career, until he passed. At SEL, he was key in developing infrastructure that is still in use today. He was not just an employee, but a cherished mentor and friend to all. Sreenivas was one of those lucky few people whose work was their passion.

Sreenivas is survived by his wife and lifelong companion of 34 years Kanakadurga Dingari, and his two beloved children Chaitanya Dingari and Spoorthi Dingari. He will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him.

A celebration of his life will be held on January 21, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the Dingari family home at 406 Andorra Boulevard, Chester Springs, PA 19425.
