Dennis Shaw, 81, of Boyertown, husband of Bonnie (Bowman) Shaw, passed away Friday January 12, 2024 at his residence.
Born in Olean, NY, he was the son of the late James and Barbara (Gabler) Shaw.
Dennis was an avid hunter, with a passion for fishing and gambling. He served in the US Navy on the USS Constellation aircraft carrier from 1960-1963. Dennis worked at Bechtel Power Plant as an electrical engineer. He then owned and operated Shaw Electric until he retired in 2015. Dennis was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be dearly missed.
Surviving along with his wife are his children, Donna Shaw (significant other Christopher J. Vermeesch), Michael Shaw, William Shaw (husband of Laura), and Pam Kaas (significant other Darren Altemose); grandchildren Seth, Josh, Tyler, Matthew, and Rachael; three great grandchildren; and brother Terry Shaw (husband of Janet).
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Jimmy Shaw and sister, Mary Shaw.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday January 17, 2024 at 4:30 PM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, LLC., 1020 E. Philadelphia Ave., Gilbertsville, PA 19525. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 3:00-4:30 PM at the funeral home.
