Leslye (Moyer) Blackwell, 71, wife of Randy Blackwell, passed away Friday February 9, 2024 at her residence.

Born February 25, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Dorothy (Benz) Moyer.

Leslye graduated from Methacton High School, class of 1970, and she was the school’s first flag drill team captain. Following graduation, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education at Millersville University, and went on to teach English in the North Schuylkill, Methacton, and Pottstown School Districts. She also taught GED classes in Pottstown and was an administrator at the Antonelli Medical Professional Institute. Leslye was a member of the Prayer Warriors at New Ridge Fellowship Church and a member of the Pottstown Federation of Teachers.

Surviving in addition to her husband are sons Joshua Craig Blackwell and Aaron Scott Blackwell husband of Alison; four grandchildren Leah, Jacob, Ryan, and Chase. She is also survived by one brother Craig A. Moyer husband of Tina; brother-in-law Raymond Blackwell III husband of Elaine; father-in-law Raymond Blackwell Jr.; one nephew; three nieces; a great nephew; and two great nieces. Leslye is also survived by a group of friends she valued as sisters, Patty Good, Jill Kelly, Denise Brown, Sue Marycz, Harriet Doyle, Pam Haven, Geri Maxwell, Barb Adelsperger, Gail Crissey, and Nancy Pederson.

A memorial service will be held Saturday February 17, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, LLC., 711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown, PA 19464. Internment will be private. Visitation will be held Friday Feb. 16 from 6:00-8:00 PM and Saturday Feb. 17 from 2-2:45 PM at the funeral home.
