David E. Conner, 79

David E. Conner, 79, husband of Mary Sue (Altomare) Conner, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024, in Hawaii.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Nancy (Bonner) Travetti and step-father William Travetti.

David proudly served in the United States Air Force. After his service, he was a police officer in Philadelphia for 25 years. Following his retirement from law enforcement, David worked at the Marriott in Conshohocken and Pfizer in Collegeville. David enjoyed golfing, traveling around the world, and being a loving companion. He loved all sports and was a dedicated Philadelphia Sports fan. David was a longtime member of St. Teresa of Calcutta Church.

David was survived by his wife, Mary Sue (Altomare), to whom he was devoted and dedicated for 56 years. He is survived by his children Danielle (Conner) Burgess, Suzanne (Conner) Szekeres, wife of Michael, and Michael Conner; brother Gary Conner, husband of Jane; grandchildren Jack, Austin, and Reese Burgess; Anna, John, and Jane Szekeres; and Hailey and Sean Conner. He is predeceased by his brother, John Conner.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Teresa of Calcutta Roman Catholic Church (256 Swamp Pike, Schwenksville, PA 19473), with Fr. Paul Brandt officiating. A visitation will also be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024, before the funeral mass from 9:30-10:50 AM at the church. The family will hold the burial at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in David’s name.
