Eugene S. Janderchick, 97, of Gilbertsville, husband of the late Joyce A. (Raysor) Janderchick, passed away Thursday March 7, 2024 at his residence.

Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Gnoza) Janderchick.

Eugene served in the US Army during WWII. He worked as a steel worker at the former Handy & Harmon Tube Co. in Norristown. Eugene was a member of the American Legion in Pottstown and St. Columbkill Roman Catholic Church in Boyertown. He enjoyed hunting, dancing, roller skating, and playing cards. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his daughters Cynthia Heft and Kathleen McPherson; son Kelly Janderchick; 24 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.

Along with his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Helen Willauer and Gertrude Yarmush and his brother Stanley Janderchick.

Funeral services will be held Friday March 15, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, LLC., 1020 E. Philadelphia Ave., Gilbertsville, PA 19525. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown. Visitation will be held Friday from 9:30-10:45 AM at the funeral home.

Kelly & Patti, I am so sorry to read of Kelly’s dad’s passing. I can remember up at the campground Kelly and I were comparing notes about our dads both being WWII vets and lots of other things we could “brag” about. How lucky you were to have him for so long!
