Kenneth L. Herrlinger, 95

Kenneth L. Herrlinger, 95, husband of the late Eleanor Mae (Mutter) Herrlinger, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at Complete Care in Macungie, PA.

Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Frederick and Helen (Renninger) Herrlinger.

Kenneth was known as a master carpenter and cabinet maker. He had the remarkable ability to create or repair almost anything. He loved sharing his talents by building or renovating family spaces. In his younger years, he served in the National Guard Reserves for 17 years. Kenneth built many homes in the Pottstown area. He later was the head of maintenance at Sunnybrook Ballroom for many years. He then worked at Barrcrest Manor in Lancaster until his retirement. Kenneth was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was an enthusiastic fan of the Philadelphia Phillies & Eagles., often attending their games with his sons.

Surviving are his sons Barry L. Herrlinger, husband of Pamela, and Jay A. Herrlinger, husband of Jennifer; grandchildren Brad, Brett and Carly Herrlinger; great grandchildren Micah, Zoey, Maya, Anna Herrlinger and Hazel Curry; and many nieces and nephews. He was also “Poppy Kenny” to Wyatt Tucker. He is predeceased by his sisters Doris Frick, wife of the late Woodrow, and Joyce Lawler, wife of the late Leo.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 11:00AM at Catagnus Funeral Home (711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown, PA 19464). Burial will follow at Pottstown Cemetery West. A viewing will also be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, from 10:00-11:00AM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bucks County SPCA (https://buckscountyspca.org/donate/) or to the American Cancer Society (https://donate.cancer.org/) in Kenneth’s name.
