Donald Abram Walt, 80, of Spring City, husband of Carol D. (Frain) Walt, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Parkhouse Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born in Pottstown, the son of the late Horace K. and Sallie R. (Ziegler) Walt.
Don was a faithful Christian who loved the Lord. He was a boys' camp counselor and was lovingly known as Mr. Don to all children. He taught Sunday school and the Caravan program at Royersford Church of the Nazarene and Limerick Cornerstone Family Church of the Nazarene, where he was a member. Don was a talented woodworker and a huge fan of Farmall Tractors. He also enjoyed the hobby of HO trains and had quite a display. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and was affectionately known as “Pap.”
Along with his wife, he is survived by his sons Jason D. Walt, husband of Theresa, and Bryan M. Walt, husband of Lauren; grandchildren Christian, Ethan, Payton, Braydon, and Austin; and several nieces and nephews.
His two brothers and his sister predeceased Don, along with his parents.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 24, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Ltd., 329 N. Lewis Rd., Royersford, PA 19468. Burial will follow at Limerick Garden of Memories. Visitation will be held Friday from 10:00-10:45 AM at the funeral home.
