Richard “Rich” Kenneth Stauffer, 83, significant other of Judith Grabowicz, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 19, 2024, in Douglassville.
Born in Norristown, he was the son of the late James Robert Stauffer and Alice Virginia (Auber) Stauffer.
Rich proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a lifetime member of the VFW. He was also a longtime member of the TriCounty Active Adult Center in Pottstown. He truly had a lifelong passion for health and physical fitness. In addition to his years of service in the Marine Corps, Rich worked as a tool grinder for 41 years at NEAPCO in Pottstown before his retirement in 2005. Rich enjoyed meeting up with his NEAPCO Retirement Group at the Coventry Mall.
Surviving along with his significant other Judy, is his daughter Pamela Marie Kaas, significant other of Darren Altemose; siblings James “Mike” Stauffer, husband of the late Vivian; Donald Stauffer, husband of the late Judy; Barbara Bainbridge; Jean Miller, wife of David; and Dennis Stauffer, husband of Patricia; grandchildren Seth Kaas, husband of Lynne; great grandchildren Winnie, Kenny, and Olivia; Judith’s children Brian Grabowicz, husband of Carrie, Kim Dixon, significant other of Ken, and John Grabowicz, significant other of Gina; Judith’s grandchildren Noah and Brennan, and Samantha and Andrew.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 11:00AM at Catagnus Funeral Home (711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown, PA 19464). Funeral Honors will follow. Burial will be held privately by the family at a later date. A visitation will also be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 10:00-11:00AM at the funeral home.
