Mary Austin Schultz passed away peacefully the morning of June 9th, 2024 after a long illness. She leaves behind her husband, Andrew Harmonsky, and family including her five siblings, Edmund Schultz (Sandra), Patrick Schultz (Ellen), Christopher Schultz (Carol), Barbara Reda and Edna Marie McLaughlin (Gregory).

Mary was born on July 25, 1949 in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Woodhaven, Queens where she graduated from Christ the King High School. She was a long-time resident of Pottstown, PA. She was surrounded by her family and close friends at the time of her passing.

She was known for her creative ability, whether it was painting, sewing or craftwork but her passion and love was caring for animals. Mary will be remembered for her kindness and generosity to her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks you donate to your favorite animal shelter in her name.

Add My Condolences

My friend has now rejoined her precious least weasel Cosmos. I am sure it was a most happy reunion. She loved her dearly. I am happy to have known Mary for the ferret times. Enjoy the Bridge Mary.

My condolences to Andrew and her family. The world will be a little dimmer without her bright light. She was a lifesaver at the show where our Tahoe broke down and she and Andrew gave us a place to spend the night. And her passion to help all the animals was to be admired.

Passing on my deepest condolences to the family, especially Andrew. The ferret community has lost their mother much love and hugs to all may be free and dooking with all of her critters.
