William “Fuzzy” H. Fosnocht III, 77

William “Fuzzy” H. Fosnocht III, 77, husband of Donna C. (Vagasky) Fosnocht, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Pottstown Hospital.

Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late William H. Fosnocht II and Dorothy Marie (Rothenberger) Fosnocht.

Fuzzy was an avid golfer. With a swing as smooth as his punchlines, he charmed both greens and gatherings alike, frequently found swapping stories and jokes at Twin Ponds, Reading Country Club, Frankie and Johnnies, Outer Banks beaches, and family holidays. A skilled electrician, he illuminated lives with both wit and expertise. Whether cracking jokes or fixing circuits, he lit up every room he entered.

An ardent reader, Fuzzy also enjoyed his share of crossword puzzles, and, when in his prime, graced the ice as a hockey player. He was a longtime member of the Elks and a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. As a husband, friend, brother, and uncle, he embodied loyalty and love and will be greatly missed.

Surviving along with his wife Donna, of 42 years, is his cousin Barbara Daniels. He is predeceased by his brother Harry Fosnocht.

Services will be held privately by the family at this time.

Add My Condolences

Fuzzy and I played many rounds of golf at RCC. Both good and bad shots & lots of laughs at the 19th hole. He had a great sense of humor and Jan and I loved spending time with him. He will be truly missed and remembered forever. Donna you are in our thoughts and prayers during this sad time.

Bill was without a doubt one of the kindest people I've ever met. Simply put ..I loved the man and am saddened by this news. We would take trips to the Flyers games together and laughed most of the time during the game. The world lost a great man here. May the Lord be with you, Donna, as you go through the coming days.

Met Bill in Jr High, as very young men growing into maturity. Bill was always the one with the biggest smile and the friendliest warm interface. Last time I saw him, I wandered into the Elks while visiting from Washington DC. As I walked in, I noticed the bartender approaching me to assure my membership. Before he could ask who I was, I noticed Bill, and of course, sat down to catch up. The tender saw that Bill knew me, and immediately, due to our familiarity, I was immediately accepted. And so, Bill & I had a great conversation after years (decades?) without seeing each other. Thanks Bill, for bringing yourself into my life.

I have known Bill for over 20 years thru my ex husband Michael Shaner who used to work for him. He was always a kind man. Very dedicated to his family and friends and his electrical business in which he stayed dedicated to till the end. I remember briefly working for him back in the late 90's. He was the kind of man who would go out of his way to help those in need. He left his mark in Pottstown and he will be missed! Rest in peace Bill!

Bill was not only my boss from 1987 to 2000 but also a mentor and a friend. I will miss seeing his face coming out of the shop and grabbing his mail. It's just so unreal.

I was so very sorry to hear about Bill's passing. He was always a joy to be with and his never-ending smile was contagious. We played football together at PHS and the last time I saw him was at our last PHS class reunion golf outing where he scored a hole-in-one. You will be missed Bill!

I’m so very sorry to read this. I grew up with “Billy”, who later became “Fuzzy”!! . We went to the same church and our parents were best friends. We also went to a sports camp in Canada for many summers and had mutual friends there. He had a great sense of humor and always had a joke to tell . Although I have not seen him in many years as I live in Pittsburgh and Florida, I have many fond memories of a special childhood friend. May he rest in Peace.
