Spencer Alexander Mead, 25

Spencer Alexander Mead, 25, of Spring City, passed away Tuesday June 11, 2024 in East Coventry Township following a motorcycle accident.

Born in Phoenixville, he was the son of Kyle John Mead (Erica) and Andrea (Ammarell) Mead (Adam Berry).

Spencer had a love of motorcycles and often was seen around town riding on his beloved bike. In his spare time, he liked to tinker with and customize his bike. His friends and family members remember him as a fun loving guy with a sweet soul and a big heart. He had an infectious smile and was always the life of the party. Spencer enjoyed shooting pool and was passionate about music. He had a great love of history and was a member of the Spring Ford Area Historical Society.

In his youth, Spencer loved spending time at Gettysburg National Military Park with his brother and grandfather. He spent many summers vacationing at Lake George, N.Y., where he loved to fish, boat and hike. He attended Western Montgomery Career and Technology Center, where he was awarded a certificate for auto collision repair and went on to graduate from Spring Ford High School. After high school, he attended a trade school on scholarship to become certified as an HVAC technician.

Spencer’s presence will be missed and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Surviving along with his parents are his brothers Riley Mead and Xander Mead; maternal grandparents, Edward and Carol Ammarell; paternal grandmother, Debra Chiapelli; and numerous loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Add My Condolences

It was such a pleasure to have known you in my lifetime. You were an amazing person and friend. We talked about so many plans we had for our futures. I got to ride with you on that bike. Your smile was contagious, and you always knew how to brighten someone’s day. You always knew the things to say. I’ll remember you for always.

It absolutely sucks to know that spencer is gone, he was such a funny, dependable, smart, and fearless friend. Im am so sorry for the loss of your son, there will not be a day that goes by where we don't remember the lasting impression he made on our lives. From teaching everyone his knowledge, to being friends with everyone, to being there for everyone. Spencer was truly a different breed of human, the kind we all should strive to be. A good person isnt born a good, they work hard at it everyday to become and stay a good person, and spencer was a great as they get. Life will always be missing a bit of your happiness and ability to turn any event into a great one, we will always remember the laughs we had, all the times we partied, did reckless stuff, all of the moments in that old garage in pottstown where i can still remember being 12 and watching him work on all different kinds of trucks, cars, and bikes. Those moments are what will keep spencer alive forever, in our hearts and our daily lives, we miss you brother.

Spencer was one of my best friends growing up. There was never a dull moment with him. He always had something to joke about and make everyone smile in the room. One of my favorite memories with him was just driving around going no where but listening to music and just enjoying the evenings. He was just the life of a party and lived everyday to fullest. He will be dearly missed. And I will see you again one day buddy keep that bike in the sky warmed up and ready.

My son Tim Brodi considered Spencer his best friend. There was a group of guys that were together all the time for as many years as I can remember; Turtle (Tyler), Spencer, Thomas, Chris and Tim. They were always together riding or at bonfires. Every time I would text or call Tim to find out where he was and if he was coming home for the night, it was nope staying at Spencer's. This is such a terrible loss, and I pray for Spencer and healing for his family.

My daughter Brenna spoke about Spencer all the time. She and her boyfriend Tyler H were always at Spencer's. I didn't know him but I feel like I did with all the funny things she and Tyler H would say how funny he was, he was a great friend, and that he was really kind. I saw many of the videos of their weekend moments of all of the friends laughing and smiling. Just having the time of their lives. To his family, you have our deepest sympathy,
Jen and David Johnson

Our family has fond memories from elementary school with Spencer, Riley and Andrea. We were just talking the other week about the time that Spencer went to play paintball with us. We were devastated to hear the news and will always cherish the time that our families spent together. Much love to you all.
