Franklin D. Renninger, 91

Franklin D. Renninger, 91, husband of Nancy Mae (Werner) Renninger, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 12, 2024, at Topton Lutheran Home.

Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Wilmer S. Renninger and Florence M. (Schott) Renninger.

Franklin proudly served in the United States Army in Korea as an aircraft mechanic. He worked hard providing for his family being a construction superintendent working on multi-million dollar projects. Franklin also served on the Boyertown School Authority, Board of Supervisors, and the Board of Auditors for Washington Township. He loved Indy Car Racing, jazz, and country music. Franklin’s biggest love in life, was his wife, Nancy. He adored her and enjoyed expressing his love for her.

Surviving along with his wife, Nancy, is his daughter Alicia Bauer, wife of Perry; daughter Marcia Snyder; son Bryan Renninger, husband of Tara; sister Doris Callow; sister M. Louise Karns; sister Shirley Cressman; brother Carl Renninger; grandchildren Brad, Todd, and Troy Bauer; Lauren Sherry and Philip Snyder; and Brent and Dylan Renninger, and Melissa Marks; great grandchildren Jordan, Lucy and Caroline Sherry, Ryan and Esme Floyd, Ivy Snyder, Nora Snyder and Luke Bauer. He is predeceased by his sister Esther Garner.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at 11:00AM at Catagnus Funeral Home (1020 E. Philadelphia Ave., Gilbertsville, PA 19525) with Fr. Michael Renninger officiating. Burial will be held privately by the family at a later date. A visitation will also be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, from 10:00-11:00AM at the funeral home.
