Doris J. Yerger, 89

Doris J. (Colflesh) Yerger, 89, of Spring City, wife of the late John W. Yerger, Jr., passed away Tuesday August 6, 2024 at Keystone Villa in Douglassville.

Born in New Hanover Twp., she was the daughter of the late William Leon and Anna Mary (Pence) Colflesh.

Doris enjoyed her career in payroll and bookkeeping. She was an active member of Parkerford Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, served on various boards and worked in the church office during her retirement years.

Surviving are her children John W. Yerger, III (Maura), Lynn Bucy (Alan), Steven Yerger (Sue), and Michael Yerger (Crystal); 11 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and a brother Wayne Colflesh.

Funeral services will be held Saturday August 17, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Ltd., 329 N. Lewis Rd., Royersford, PA 19468. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:30-10:45 AM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doris’s memory to Parkerford Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 92 Baptist Church Rd., Spring City, PA 19475.

I was blessed to work with Doris at the American Baptist in Valley Forge. She was a very caring person, fun to be with. We were able to get together several times after retirement and share the good times we had with others I will miss her

beautiful smile. My deepest sympathy to the family.

Doris was a wonderful person and friend. We became fast friends thanks to my son Jason taking me to a church picnic. We had many good times and spent as much time together as we could. My condolences go out to all the family, but we all know she is now in the loving arms of our Lord and savior.
