Anna Mae (Stengel) Melcher, 93, wife of the late Joseph B. Melcher, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 12, 2024, at the Lutheran Home at Topton.
Born in Bally, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Cecilia (Bumm) Stengel.
Anna Mae enjoyed playing bingo and watching game shows. She liked playing card games with her friends at the senior center. In her younger years, Anna enjoyed sewing and crocheting. Spending time with her family was most important in her life.
Surviving is her son Daniel Melcher; daughter Rosanne Kulp, wife of Dennis; sister Marie Hillegass, wife of the late Richard; grandchildren Kelly, Justin, Nathan, Tiffanie, Billy, Coleen, and Brett; 9 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her son Paul Melcher; sister Regina Reichart; brother Lawrence (Reds) Stengel; sister Rita Meck; sister Emma Landis; and sister Margaret Reichart.
A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at 11:00AM at Most Blessed Sacrament Church (610 Pine St, Bally, PA 19503). Burial will follow at Most Blessed Sacrament Church Cemetery. A visitation will also be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 10:00-11:00AM at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Anna’s name.
