Dolores F. Mest, 86

Dolores F. (Stull) Mest, 86, of Boyertown, wife of the late Laverne “Knobby” Mest, passed away Wednesday September 4, 2024 at Chestnut Knoll in Boyertown surrounded by her family.

Born in the Boyertown Area, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Maggie Stull.

Dolores spent her career as a Beautician and had a salon at her home. She assisted her husband in the operations of the Union and Fairview Cemeteries and upon retirement, worked for Schell Memorial. Dolores loved to entertain friends at her home, travel, play cards, and go to the casino. She and her husband Knobby could clear any dance floor doing the jitter bug in their day!

Surviving are her sons Richard Mest husband of Christine and Todd Mest husband of Martha; daughter Terri Toro; Shawn Barndt, granddaughter who was raised as a daughter, fiancée of Bill Carr; in addition to her granddaughter Shawn, she has 5 additional grandchildren Ashley Kirkpatrick wife of Joshua, Troy Mest, Matthew Toro, Kevin Mest, Kelly Mest; and 9 great grandchildren Logan, Mason, Kevin Jr, April, Wednesday, Lane, Evi, Theo, and Levi.

Along with her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her infant daughter Debbie, and infant sons Scott and Troy and a brother.

Funeral services will be held Thursday September 12, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, LLC., 1020 E. Philadelphia Ave., Gilbertsville, PA 19525. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Boyertown. Visitation will be held Thursday from 9:30-10:45 AM at the funeral home.

There was never a time when our families got together with Knobby and Dolores, that we didn't laugh. Always a good time. Dolores will be missed, as is, Knobby.
