Add My Condolences

G'pa Mitchell was a great grandpa and I have many good memories of visiting him and G'ma at the marina and Long Island, especially having croissant sandwiches and fruit punch for lunch and big breakfasts together. I looked forward to when they took us to to the aquarium and an arcade when our parents went on their annual ski trip, and later swimming with him in his pool in PA. We will miss him.

Captain Bob, was a smiling adventurer. He loved life and he loved his family and friends. His excitement and positive outlook were contagious. He radiated joy as he recounted all his many journeys. He loved to talk and actually cared about how you were doing... not just on the surface, but deep inside. I was blessed to be able to experience his passion for life. I will continue to be inspired by it. I love you and miss you Bob.

Growing up close to Grandpa made my childhood unforgettable. He made every holiday an adventure—he drove us around on a tractor for Easter egg hunts, and for Halloween, he dressed up as Barney just to make me smile. He wasn’t just my grandpa, but ‘Grandpa’ to everyone who knew him. We miss you!

To know my Grandpa was to love him. He filled my childhood and early adulthood with lifelong memories and unforgettable adventures. I pray he is swimming, laughing, dancing, and feeding all the chipmunks he can find in heaven. Rest in peace, Grandpa.
