Geraldine “Gerry” R. Christ, 93, wife of the late Allen L. Christ, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 7, 2024, at Manatawny Manor.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Jericho Ruccio and Dorothy (Boltz) Ruccio.
Gerry enjoyed cross stitching and going to the movies with her girlfriends. She loved her family and spending time with her granddaughter. Gerry also enjoyed mowing her lawn and continued to do so through her 80’s. She also had a love for cats and took in several strays.
Surviving is her daughter Cynthia L. Hiryak, wife of Paul; son Todd A. Christ; granddaughter Kristyn E. Hiryak; a sister, Nancy Linderman; and two nieces Terri L. Becker, wife of Jeffrey, and Kathy L. Sanders.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 11:00AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, LLC (1020 E. Philadelphia Ave., Gilbertsville, PA 19525) with Monsignor John B. McCann officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Gernants UCC Cemetery in Leesport. A viewing will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024 from 10:00AM-11:00AM at the funeral home.
