Violet K. (Schaeffer Minford) Kriebel, 100

Violet K. (Schaeffer Minford) Kriebel, 100, preceded in death by her first husband Clifford Minford, and then re-married to the late Harold Kriebel, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at The Birches of Harleysville.

Born in 1924, she was the daughter of the late Alvin Ralph Schaeffer and Ada M. (Kulp) Schaeffer.

Violet was very involved in the Ladies’ Civic Club of Schwenksville. She was very instrumental in Operation Smile through the Civic Club, and even won a National Award for her efforts in making over 25,000 gowns for hospitals. She was also the former President of the Lower Frederick Ladies Auxiliary from 1983-2002. Violet enjoyed traveling. Violet was a longtime member of New Goshenhoppen in East Greenville for many years and recently Heidelberg UCC in Schwenksville.

Surviving is her daughter Joan Giunta, wife of Joseph, of Bechtelsville; son John Minford, husband of Robin, of Sebastian Fl; and son Paul Minford, husband of Patricia, of Schwenksville; 3 step daughters; Shirley, wife of Gerald Landis, of Lederach; Susan Krajnik, of Royersford; and Jeanette Kriebel, of Limerick; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren; and 11 step great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son Richard Minford, husband of the late Elaina; son Clifford Minford, husband of the late Diana; and brother Earl Schaeffer.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024. Visitation will be held from 10:00AM-11:00AM at the church followed by a funeral service at 11:00AM at Heidelberg UCC (251 Perkiomen Ave, Schwenksville, PA 19473) with Rev. Adrian J. Tierson officiating. Burial will be private.
