Jean Lutz, 50

Jean Louise (Incollingo) Lutz, 50, wife of Brian Lutz, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Fox Chase Cancer Center.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Marlin and Jeanette Wert.

Jean was a proud business owner with her husband Brian. She started at a young age working for her parents at Marjeane Caterers in Lansdale, a business that her parents started in 1983. After Jean married Brian in 1998, they purchased the business from her parents in 2001, eventually closing the business after purchasing the Landis Creek Golf Club, located in Limerick, in 2014, which they still own and operate today. Jean was always known as a selfless person, helping families in need during the holidays, along with the local Fire Department and other organizations. Giving back to the community was always something close to her heart, even supporting fundraisers for Fox Chase Cancer Center while she herself was battling cancer. One of her “passions” was older cars with her husband Brian, building a collection that featured cars they built and/or modified together. The car scene was also something she could enjoy with family, because to her, family was everything. She could always be heard saying “Family First” while they enjoyed going on vacations, spending time together at the holidays, or just getting together for family dinners. Jean was loved by many and she will be deeply missed.

Surviving along with her husband, Brian of 26 years, is her son Christopher Lutz, husband of Andrew Long; son Daniel Lutz, husband of Tori; son Cody Lutz, husband of Kaitlyn; and daughter Jordan; sister Mary Barrett, wife of Tom; sister Beth Gallo, wife of Tom; brother Jon Wert, husband of Anne; sister Carolyn Von Ahnen; and sister Marla Johnstin, wife of Rich; grandchildren Tyler and Alivia Lutz.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at 12:00PM at Catagnus Funeral Home (329 N. Lewis Rd., Royersford, PA 19468). A visitation will also be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 10:00AM-12:00PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fox Chase Cancer Center (https://www.foxchase.org/giving/ways-give/donate-now) or to Autism Speaks (https://www.autismspeaks.org/) in Jean’s name.

From the first time we met at the Indoor Nationals, Jean and your family have been nothing short of amazing. I've only worked at Landis and Creekside for a few years but got to know the Lutz's very well. It would brighten my day when Jean would go out of her way just to say hi, whether on the course working or eating at Creekside. I recall the countless times she would just come over and sit down just to chat. She wouldn't stop smiling and made everyone feel welcome!! We're going to miss you Jean, may you rest in peace and fly with the angels.

When I started working at Creekside 6 years ago, Jean was “just” my boss. She and the rest of the Lutz’s quickly turned to people I look at as a second family. I’m going to miss her infectious smile, her hugs & her bluntness ?? (which was one of my favorite things about her), if you needed to be told about yourself, Jean was going to tell ya. She had a heart of gold and would give the shirt off her back. ?? We are going to miss you so much Mama Jean! Your creekside family (the employees and the regulars) will continue to make you proud in the house you built for us. We love you!!
