Deanna M. (Batdorf) Mourar, 87, of North Coventry, wife of the late G. Jay Mourar, passed away peacefully, Sunday November 10, 2024 at the Reading Hospital.
Born and raised in North Coventry, she was the daughter of the late Charles Samuel and Hilda Thompson (Rath) Batdorf.
She was a graduate of NORCO High School where she was actively involved in sports. Deanna was deeply devoted to her family, finding immense joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. An avid reader, she also loved cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting events and was always their biggest supporter. She was a lifelong member of Cedarville United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her loving family: her daughter Hildy Kulp, wife of Garry; her son Randy Mourar; her grandchildren Chase Kulp, husband of Christine, Chelsey Kulp, Stephanie Mourar, and Gavin Mourar; her great-grandchildren Isabelle, Violet, and Lyla Kulp; her beloved nieces and nephews; and her cherished puppy, Ginger. Deanna’s family was her pride and joy, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Along with her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Jarrold, Charles, Kenneth, Conrad, Harry, Donald, and James Batdorf; and sisters Margaret Neiman, Grace Bush, and Birdella Mauger.
Funeral services will be held Monday November 18, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, LLC., 711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown, PA 19464. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Spring City. Visitation will be held Monday from 10:00-10:45 AM at the funeral home.
