Ruth A. Rhoads, 74

Ruth A. (Knepp) Rhoads, 74, of Schwenksville, wife of William S. Rhoads, Jr., passed away Thursday November 14, 2024 at her residence.

Born in Pottstown, she was the daughter of the late Byron and Rosa (Pennypacker) Knepp.

Ruth was an avid bowler for over 35 years. She enjoyed sewing as a hobby, fishing, and dancing. Above all else, she loved spending time with all of her grandchildren.

Surviving along with her husband is her son Lance Rose husband of Tomao; daughters Paula Rose and Kelly Rose McElmurry wife of BJ; grandchildren Josslyn, Aaron, Brittany, Zach, and Riley; step-children Racheal Amador and Corey Rhoads; step-grandchildren Jessica, Lilly, Evelyn, Rowan, and Thomas; step-great grandchild Olive; brothers Mark, Byron “Jr.”, David, Dean, and Harry; sisters Betty, Bonnie, and Donna.

Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Roy.

A memorial service will be held Sunday November 24, 2024 at 3:30 PM at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 3206 Big Rd., Zieglerville, PA 19492. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:30-3:15 PM at the church. Food and fellowship will follow at the church hall.

I will always have the best memories of her in my mind, late nights out with her, late nights out with her kids, bowling, Pollyanna Christmas parties and her willingness to turn any event into the most fun thing you’ve ever done. Condolences to the entire family, she will truly be missed.
