Dorothy Cooper, 90

Dorothy Ann (Stotz) Cooper, 90, wife of the late David Wood Cooper, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at her home in North Coventry.

Born in Middletown, PA, she was the daughter of the late William Harry Stotz and Miriam (Imler) Stotz.

Dorothy proudly put herself through college and became an elementary school teacher. In her younger years of adulthood, she and her husband, David, were very involved at Cedarville United Methodist Church. Dorothy loved her pet cats and having long visits with her daughter, Carol, in Florida. She also loved going to beaches, especially in the Gulf Coast of Florida and Sanibel Island. Her daughters and grandchildren were her biggest pride and joy in her life.

Surviving is her daughter Susan (Cooper) Bolig and son in law David Bolig of North Coventry, and Carol Cooper of Pinellas Park, FL.; grandchildren Gordon Bolig, newlywed to Logan (Day) Bolig of York, PA, and Sam Bolig of Tabernacle, NJ. She is predeceased by her brother John “Jack” Stotz.

Services will be held privately by the family at this time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cedarville UMC (1092 Laurelwood Rd, Pottstown, PA 19465) in Dorothy’s name.

I am so sorry to hear of her passing. Although I only met her a handful of times, I’ll always remember how she was always full of cheer and a pleasure to be around!
