Frances Joan (Collins) Nase, known as "Fran" to most, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 12th, 2024. She was 64.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John Francis and Frances Joan (Toland) Collins--often referencing how much she loved and missed them after their passing.
She was a devoted wife and a devoted mother. Married to Ronald Nase, they shared 37 happy years together, raising 7 children along the way. She loved her family dearly and gave her all to them always. Surviving along with her husband are her children: Mario Nase, Ronald Nase Jr. husband of Danielle, Veronica Dorr wife of Jason, Frances Wetzel wife of Dylan, Angela Nase, Shawn Nase, and Harry Nase; her grandchildren Oliver Francis Nase and Hans Wayburn Dorr; her brother John Collins and sister Connie Hanson; niece Liz Allen, nephew Matthew Collins, and niece Drucilla Collins. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Ed Collins.
Fran graduated with honors from Cardinal Dougherty High School, briefly working as a receptionist at a beauty salon after. She took joy in selling Mary Kay Cosmetics for over 20 years. She also spent various years as a bank teller but much of her life as a homemaker. She valued the job of being a mother, ensuring her children were raised on good values. She took no shame in turning to a neighbor for help and understood the value of community.
Fran appreciated the simple things in life. She could often be found praying, reading, going on walks, or doing crossword puzzles. She enjoyed animals, particularly cats; spending time with family; and all things "cute and happy". A devout woman of faith, Fran was an active parishioner of St. Columbkill Roman Catholic Church in Boyertown. She was a proud member of the Divine Mercy Ministry there.
She will be remembered for her caring nature, astounding level of patience, strong faith in God, giving spirit, and tremendous amount of love for her husband & children. She wrote the book on how to be a good person. She will be so deeply missed.
