Rachel C. McNeill, 92

Rachel (née Desiderio) McNeill, 92, died peacefully on Saturday, December 14. She is preceded in death by her husband Donald and is survived by her daughter Kathy (Achilles) and sons Donald (Nancy) and Richard (Christine), as well as her three grandchildren, Stephanie (Will), Andrew, and Ryan.

Born and raised in the Philadelphia area, she graduated from Springfield High School where she later worked as a secretary, often starring in their employee talent show. Rachel had many hobbies throughout her life and enjoyed sharing her talents with her family. She loved singing, sewing, crocheting, bowling (traditional and Wii), puzzles, reading, cooking (best meatballs ever!), and baking Christmas cookies with Kathy and her grandchildren. She dedicated her life to caring for her family and was the ultimate Nana, taking care of all her grandchildren when they were young. Later in life she developed a passion for Rummikub and was quite the competitor. In their 52 years of marriage, she and Don traveled extensively with their children, including four trips across the USA. With Kathy, Achilles, and Stephanie, they enjoyed many trips to Disney World.

Rachel was at the center of her family's lives and will be greatly missed. Memories of times spent in her company will bring joy to her family even in this time of sorrow.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service on Friday, December 20 at Catagnus Funeral Home (329 N. Lewis Road Royersford, PA) - visitation from 9 to 10 a.m. with services beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will take place at Limerick Garden of Memories (44 Swamp Pike Limerick, PA) at 11:30 a.m., followed by a luncheon at Limerick Diner (411 W. Ridge Pike, Limerick, PA) at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, because of Rachel’s love for music, please consider making a donation in her honor to Musicopia Inc.
