Catherine “Kay” Ann (Applegate) Jones, 77, of Pottstown, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Pottstown Hospital.
Born in Trenton, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Martha (Lodge) Applegate.
Kay loved traveling, especially to Ireland and the Outer Banks, NC. She enjoyed going to the casinos in Atlantic City with her sister, Theresa. Kay liked to document her family through photos, which she took often. She was an avid Eagles fan and loved spending time with her daughter, grandkids, and great grandchildren. Kay always looked forward to Saturday night dinners out with the family trying different restaurants. She had a great sense of humor and her favorite line was always, “Thank God I’m cute!”
Surviving is her daughter Angel Hansley, wife of Andy; brother John Applegate, husband of Mary Ann; brother Robert Applegate, husband of Sally; brother-in-law Timothy Bryan Sr., husband of the late Theresa; grandchildren Catherine Long and Miranda Long; great grandchildren Raelynn, Charlotte, Gabriel, Maverick, and Elijah: many cousins, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother William “Buster” Applegate.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024, from 10:00AM-12:00PM at Catagnus Funeral Home (1020 E. Philadelphia Ave., Gilbertsville, PA 19525). A time of sharing remembrances will follow at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home. Burial will be held privately by the family at a later date.
