Fred R. Zeitter, 82

Fred R. Zeitter, 82, husband of Donna L. (Thorne) Zeitter, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Bryn Mawr Hospital. Born in Darby, he was the son of the late Arthur and Hilda (Silberhorn) Zeitter.

Fred was devoted to his wife Donna for more than 46 years, and enjoyed many years of traveling and being with their friends.

Fred was an avid collector of antiques boats and toys, Fred and Donna enjoyed being on the water and boating on the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland.

He was the owner of Fred R. Zeitter, AIA, ARA Architect in Broomall, PA. Fred loved designing customer homes and doing his architectural drawings the old school way and professional buildings. Fred enjoyed and appreciated working closely with his clients. He also had a lot of friends who will miss his smile, and unique talents.

Surviving is his son Fred E. Zeitter, husband of Linda; son Erik C. Zeitter, husband of Amy; stepson JJ McGettigan; daughter in-law Jen McGettigan; sister Marlene; grandchildren Erik, Austin, Tanya, Randi, and Lilly.

Services will be held privately by the family at this time.

I am so sad to learn of Fred’s passing. We shared many fun times when we were all living in suburban Philly area and sharing family events with Ellen, Linda, Donna and all their spouses and family and friends. I share your grief. Please accept my sincerest condolences.
