Patricia M. Mazeski, 82

Patricia (Pat) Mazeski, 82, of Lower Pottsgrove, wife of the late James M. Mazeski, passed away Saturday January 11, 2025 peacefully at home.

Born in Shamokin, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Tosh) Jerome. Pat and her husband moved to the Philadelphia area where they lived for several years before establishing roots in Pottstown, PA where she worked for Jimmy Boot/Budget Maintenance before becoming Lower Pottsgrove Township Secretary from where she retired.

Pat was a dedicated member of St. Aloysius Parish in Pottstown where she was a member of the Women’s Group. She was an active member of her community and longtime poll worker at election time. She very much enjoyed reading, working puzzles and playing Scrabble with her children and grandchildren. She especially loved spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren’s events, most recently a tireless cheerleader of the Villanova and Owen J. Roberts girls field hockey teams.

Surviving are her children: Jennifer Graber (wife of Kevin), Matthew Mazeski, and Jessica Smolij (wife of Mark); grandchildren: Justin, Raina, Joshua, Karson, and Mira; niece Colette Huxta (wife of Lenny); nephews Donald “Butch” Tomaschik (husband of Deb), Jerry Tomaschik (husband of Cyndy), Steve Mazeski (husband of Eileen) and Vince Mazeski (husband of Cam). Also sister-in-law Hazel Mazeski (wife of the late Robert) and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sister Bernadette Petro (wife of Bernard) and her nephew Thomas Tomaschik.

A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday January 18, 2025 at 11:15 AM at St. Aloysius Church, 223 Beech St., Pottstown, PA 19464. Burial will follow at St. Aloysius New Cemetery, Pottstown. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00-11:00 AM at the church gathering center.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patricia’s memory to St. Aloysius Church, 223 Beech St., Pottstown, PA 19464.

My Dearest Nieces and Nephews,

Sometimes there are no words only thoughts from the heart.  Please know how very sorry I am.  Pat was an awesome person and great sister-in-law.  We had many wonderful family events together.  May beautiful memories, strength, faith and prayers in these difficult hours, bring comfort.  May the lord give you wisdom and courage in the days ahead and may your memories be held forever in your heart.   With  Deepest Sympathy & Prayers,  Aunt Hazel
