Rebecca Maxine (Monahan) Munro, 55, wife of John S. Munro, passed away Friday January 24th 2025 at her home.
Born on September 13th 1969 in Montrose, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Sallie (Bollinger) Monahan and David D. Monahan.
Rebecca graduated with an associates degree in business. She worked in healthcare for over 30 years, she had a huge heart and compassion for caring for others, especially the elderly and children. Rebecca loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved cooking and baking for everyone and would go out of her way to always make birthdays and holidays a big deal. She made ordinary days seem special. Rebecca would do anything for the people she loved and would always be there when they needed her. She loved being a mom, more than anything.
Her comfort place was at home, where she made a loving space for her husband, children, family, and friends. She spent many hours in the kitchen trying new recipes while listening to her podcasts. When the Philadelphia Eagles were on, you could find her watching the game with her husband John, reminding him if the game wasn't looking too good that "it's ok babe! we are a second half team, we got this!" When the weather was nice, she loved spending time outside in her backyard, where she and John made their own happy place.
Rebecca is survived by her husband of 32 years, John 66, her daughter Madison 29, her sons Isaac 27, Cameron 17, Justin (JJ) 15; her brother Eric 58; and many nieces and nephews. All of those she touched and loved so deeply, and will miss her so much.
"Sweetest of the sunflowers, you're the sun to me."
A celebration of life will be held in the spring at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider sending sympathy cards to Rebecca's mother, Sallie Monahan at 380 Mill Street Boyertown PA, 19512 &/or Rebecca's husband John Munro at 298 Douglass Dr., Douglassville PA, 19518
