Lewis "Louie" Pennington, 70

Lewis “Louie” Pennington Jr., 70, beloved and cherished husband of Bonnie Lynne (Davis) Pennington, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 10, 2025, at Lankenau Hospital.

Born in Norristown, he was the son of the late Lewis J. Pennington and Frances Virginia (Whitehawk) Pennington Kane.

Louie loved CB radios and was an avid collector of them, amassing hundreds of them over the years. He was a staunch Big Foot believer, and enjoyed watching shows where they would search for him. Louie retired as a quality control inspector from Precision Polymer Products in Pottstown. Old gospel music, Motown, soul and country music were some of his favorites. Louie also enjoyed hanging out with his friends that would meet up every Wednesday at Burger King. Affectionately known as the “Candyman” at his work, Louie was known for always supplying loads of candy for his co-workers over the years.

Surviving along with his wife Bonnie of 44 years, are his siblings Troy Pennington, Dennis Pennington, Gary Pennington, Dorothy Neiman, Janice Harpel, Jamie “Big Jim” Pennington, Amy Miller, Tammy Pennington, Joline Pennington, “Chip” Pennington, and Amanda Dziadul; and stepfather Robert “Bob” Kane. He is predeceased by his brother Carl Pennington.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at 11:00AM at Catagnus Funeral Home (711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown, PA 19464) with Rev. Kenneth Webster officiating. Burial will follow at Limerick Garden of Memories. A viewing will also be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, from 9:00-11:00AM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lankenau Medical Center (100 E Lancaster Ave, Penn Wynne, PA 19096) in Lewis’ name. The family would like to thank the medical staff at Lankenau for their outstanding care and efforts while caring for Louie.
