Kyle Joseph Sheahan, 26

Kyle Joseph Sheahan, 26, of New Hanover, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.

Born in Wynnewood, PA, Kyle was the cherished son of Brian Joseph Sheahan and Mary Kay (Songaila) Sheahan. He graduated from Temple University with a degree in Criminal Justice where he was a brother of the Pi Lambda Phi fraternity. He was preparing for law school when he was devastatingly diagnosed with cancer. Known for his intelligence, wit, and gentle nature, Kyle was fortunate to have a solid circle of family and friends. He enjoyed gaming, playing soccer, and collecting Pokémon cards. His kind soul and warm presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Kyle is survived by his parents, Brian and Mary Kay; his sister, Lauren Sheahan; his grandfather, Frank Sheahan, husband of the late Susan Sheahan; and his grandparents, Walter and Carole Songaila.

A visitation will be held at New Ridge Fellowship Church (2211 Swamp Pike, Gilbertsville, PA 19525) on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 6:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Ricky Ayala.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to RETPositive (https://givebutter.com/nV0S6u/team-kyle-1/brianmarykaysheahan) in Kyle’s name.

To Kyle's parents and family, The love that you shared and the care that you gave Kyle during this long journey was a testament to the wonderful family that you are. Kyle came into our department twice a week for many months and he was always pleasant and had a smile on his face. He endured so much, and his parents were so compassionate. The memories you have will get you through this difficult time. Rest in peace, Kyle, you deserve it after that fight!
