Scott C. Conley, 58

Scott Christopher Conley, 58, entered his eternal rest on February 22, 2025 in Boyertown, PA, surrounded by loved ones. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Chelak) Conley for 37 years and devoted father of three.

Scott was born on April 20, 1966 in Norristown, PA to Lorraine (O’Brien) Conley and the late Donald Conley. He grew up with his two older siblings, Brett and Andrea, in Collegeville, PA and graduated from Methacton High School in 1984. He studied at Bucks County Community College after high school and went on to pursue an education in culinary arts in Atlantic City, NJ before switching gears and embarking on what would be a 35-year long career in corrections. Scott worked at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in Eagleville, PA as a guard before working his way up to become the maintenance supervisor. Scott was a diligent and hard worker, frequently earning “perfect attendance” certificates and often working overtime when the weather called for it. He was on the pistol team and C.E.R.T.

Scott met the love of his life, Mary, at age 14 while working together at the Collegeville Inn. The pair moved to “the hill” in Boyertown, PA in 1991 to raise their family. The avid outdoorsman and provider for his family, Scott was a member of the Barclay Mountain Bowhunters Association in Bradford County, PA for more than 25 years. He shared his love for the outdoors with his family, often enjoying time together in the mountains, fishing, hunting, target-shooting, hiking, riding four-wheelers and sitting around a roaring fire. As a young father, he coached youth soccer, spent countless hours ice skating, sledding and playing, participated in Boy Scouts, attended school concerts, sports games, parades, graduation ceremonies and kicked off each new year with a fireworks display in the backyard for whole neighborhood to enjoy. He loved rooting for the Flyers and listening to good music (loud!). When he wasn’t at work, he could be found in his garage, under the hood of a car, or chopping firewood. He was the go-to for family, friends and neighbors in need of assistance - he could fix or build anything and always had the right tool for the job. He’ll be remembered for his quick-witted humor, perfectly timed one-liners (“Scott-isms”), resourcefulness, his strong yet gentle demeanor, and deep-rooted love for his family. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary, and his three children: Nicole LePine (wife to Mark LePine), Sean Conley (husband to Kara (Salaga) Conley) and Aileen Conley (partner to Dante Colonna); his grandson, Caleb Scott LePine; his mother, Lorraine Conley; his sister, Andrea (Conley) LaSorda; his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and 11 nieces and nephews whom he adored. Scott is lovingly reunited with his father, Donald; his brother, Brett; his father-in-law, Wassil; along with many dear friends and his beloved dog, Barky.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 11:00AM at Catagnus Funeral Home (329 N. Lewis Rd., Royersford, PA, 19468) with Deacon Jim Nash officiating. Burial will be held privately by the family at a later date. A visitation will also be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 9:00AM-11:00AM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Alzheimer’s Association: https://act.alz.org/site/Donation

in Scott’s name.
