"Jay" (Jerol) A. Crowe, Jr., 63

Jay (Jerol) A. Crowe, Jr., 63, husband of Lorie J. Crowe, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at his home.

Born in Portland, Oregon, he was the son of the late Jerol A. Crowe, Sr., and Jane (Yerger) Crowe. He resided in the Boyertown area since he was 2 years old.

Jay was a diehard sports fanatic all around, especially for his beloved Eagles and Phillies. He loved the outdoors, enjoyed golfing, disc golfing, and was an avid baseball player, wrestler, and skier back in the day. He was also involved in the Boyertown Midget Baseball League for many years, fulfilling his passion for coaching and teaching. Jay loved listening to music; everyone knows he was a Deadhead at heart, though he really enjoyed many genres. He loved to cook; you could often find him in his garden, tending to hot peppers and tomatoes for his famous homemade salsa. He was also known to make a mean beef jerky. Above all, Jay loved spending time with his family, friends, and his faithful dogs.

In addition to his wife, Lorie, Jay is survived by his sons Eric C. Crowe and Evan J. Crowe. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and was an honorary “Uncle Jay” to many. He is also survived by his sisters, Jennifer Forke, wife of Samuel, and Jessica Smith.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bechtelsville on Saturday, March 15 at 12:00pm, with visitation from 10:00am-12:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Boyertown Area YMCA (301 West Spring Street, Boyertown, PA 19512) or Trinity Lutheran Church (1749 South Main Street, Bechtelsville, PA 19505).
