Roxanne Elizabeth Jamack, 66, of Gilbertsville, PA, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Jersey City, NJ on March 6, 1959 to Dennis Browning and the late Patricia Browning (nee Connolly), Roxanne graduated Piscataway High School and went on to earn her nursing degree as a licensed practical nurse.
Roxanne felt called to the profession of nursing and worked her way from a certified nurses’ assistant to charge nurse. She later went on to manage two separate medical offices. She retired in August 2024 as a nurse case manager at Optum.
Roxanne loved the sunshine. In her spare time, you could find her gardening or sitting at her pool reading a book. She cherished spending summer days on the beach. She enjoyed sewing, making numerous costumes for her children and going on to making them for her grandchildren. She also made one-of-a-kind holiday dresses.
Roxanne is survived by her husband, Anthony M. Jamack, Jr., her father, Dennis Browning, and stepmother, Vivian Browning, daughter Jennifer Jacobs of Davison, MI, Lauren Janasov (Sam) of Reading, PA, Amanda Salamone (Michael) of Reading, PA and son, James Jacobs (CamRay) of Reading, PA as well as her six grandchildren, two sisters, and many nieces/nephews.
A private memorial is being held for close family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
