Patricia Ann Kamertz, 72

Patricia Ann Kamertz (née Schafer), lovingly known as Pat, passed away peacefully at home in Royersford, Pennsylvania on April 13, 2025, after a lengthy illness. She was 72 years old.

Born on February 7, 1953, in Orange, New Jersey, Pat was the daughter of the late George Schafer and Betty Schafer Halloran. She lived a life full of love, laughter, and radiant energy. Pat was outgoing, spirited, and known for her love of a good party. A loyal friend and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, she touched many lives with her warmth and kindness.

She found joy in the simple pleasures—sunshine on her face, sand between her toes, and the color pink, which perfectly matched her joyful spirit. She loved dancing with friends and never missed a chance to cheer on her grandchildren, whom she adored beyond measure.

Pat is survived by her three children: Stephen Kamertz (Wanda), Darren Kamertz (Nicole), and Kimberly Watson (Lindsay); her cherished grandchildren Cadin, Nason, and Nila; her sister Virginia Kesper (Clay); her nephew Kevin Kesper (Rachael); and her niece Valerie Bauer (Allan). She was affectionately known as "Grandma Pat" to Nickolas (Carle) and Miranda Henry (Garrett), who held a special place in her heart.

A celebration of Pat’s life will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Ltd., 329 N. Lewis Rd., Royersford, PA 19468. A viewing will take place from 9:30 to 10:45 AM at the funeral home. To honor Pat’s colorful personality and enduring love of pink, guests are kindly invited to wear her favorite color.

Add My Condolences

To my friend Kimmy,

I wanted to reach out and say how truly sorry I am. Losing a mother is a pain I know all too well, and there are no real words to make it easier. I never got to meet her but
I know she meant a lot to you. If you ever need someone to talk to, vent to, or even just sit in silence with, I’ve got you.

Sending you love and strength during this time. You’re not alone.

Having been blessed with the privilege of 70 years of humor, caring and kindness in the person of my beautiful cousin Patty, a great void has been opened which may never heal. May Patty's beloved grandchildren, her sons, her sister, her extended family and friends and her cherished daughter/caregiver find some solace in the joy of having Patty in their lives for as long as they did. My heartfelt condolences.
