Daniel "Dan-O" Boyson, 58

Daniel “Dan-O” Boyson, 58, husband of the late Liz Whithed, passed away suddenly at his residence on Sunday, May 4, 2025.

Born in Chelsea, MA, Dan was the son of the late Edward William and Gloria (Dostie) Boyson

Dan worked for Comcast for two decades. He enjoyed biking, being outdoors, gardening, and grilling in his spare time. Dan was a huge Boston Red Sox fan, and loved listening to the Grateful Dead. He also enjoyed his time at the beach and travelling the United States. The most fun he ever had was with his family.

Surviving Dan and Liz is their daughter, Kaitlyn Boyson; brothers E.J., Michael, Bruce, and Tom Boyson; sisters Jackie Shrake, Beth, and Cathy Boyson, In-laws Carol Whithed, Doug Whithed, and Susie Howard along with many, many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dan's former employer, Greenpeace USA, where he worked for many years, in his memory.

Add My Condolences

Knowing Dan for the decade plus I have, I can truly say the world lost an amazing, kind and colorful person. I've worked with Dan in various positions, and we had many a conversation about life, and the insanity that ensues with it and I'm going to miss chatting weekly with him.

To Dan's family, I am truly sorry for your loss and if I can be of any help, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Dan was a top-notch kind of guy. I had the pleasure of working with him at Comcast for several years. Even after he got promoted out of the department we worked in, I could always go to him if I had questions about the job, and he would go out of his way to get me answers. He didn't have to, but that was just the kind of guy he was. We shared an interest with the Red Sox. Rest in peace my friend and watch over the Sox, they sure could use some help right now....
