Doreen Fair, 58

Doreen (Dunn) Fair, 58, of Royersford, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Phoenixville Hospital. She was the caring and loving wife of Rob Fair and proud mother to Jake Fair.

Born in Oradell, New Jersey, Doreen was the daughter of the late Clinton and Norma (Cairns) Dunn. She graduated from the University of Delaware in 1989, where she met the love of her life, Rob. At the age of 31, Doreen received a liver transplant. Then only 5 years later in 2003 she had her son Jake who will always remain her proudest moment and biggest joy. In 2012, Doreen met her furry best friend, Buddy, who never left her side for the rest of her life. Even with complicated medical issues, Doreen never let that stop her from doing everything she loved. Doreen had a deep love for her family. She was so proud to be a loving mother and a proud soccer mom, always cheering from the sidelines and attending every game no matter what was happening around her. There was never a reason for her to miss a game. She cherished every moment spent at the beach, from long walks with Rob to just watching Jake build sandcastles and splashing in the waves. She was always the first one to be behind the camera to capture every precious moment of her closest friends’ and families’ lives.

Doreen was known for having such a creative spirit. She demonstrated that spirit in many ways whether working on puzzles, tending to her many succulents, helping Jake design clothes, or managing the church website with care and dedication. Her creative spirit shined bright when she was a teacher where she poured her heart into guiding children. She also taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School at Crossroads Presbyterian Church where she was an Elder, and member of Session. With all the amazing things her creative spirit brought to others she always wanted everyone to know her greatest creation was her son Jake.

Doreen’s caring and gentle nature and joyful spirit will be deeply missed by her husband, Rob, her son, Jake, her sisters Debra Weixel (wife of Steve) and Denise Erlandson, her brother Daniel Dunn (husband of Wendy), her sister-in-law Suzayn Mooney (wife of Eric) and her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, along with much extended family. She was predeceased by her parents and her twin baby brothers, David and Brian Dunn.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 7:00 PM at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Ltd., 329 N. Lewis Rd., Royersford, PA 19468. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 5:00 to 6:45 PM.
