Condolences to the entire family.
Jim was a fine man and friends of the family.
He was loyal to his family, his church, his lodges and all related members. He taught his sons about hunting and fishing which they all enjoyed. May God grant that he rests in peace united with his deceased loved ones.

Our deepest sympathies to the Boyer and Smale families. Jim was an amazing gentlemen who always had a smile, kind word, helping hand or support to his NHELC family! He’s spirit will certainly live on in all those whose lives he has touched!

God, please be with Jim’s family as they celebrate his life. May you welcome him home into your arms where he will be at peace with no pain and no suffering! It is so hard for all of us left behind to make it through life without him. Be with Jim’s family as they struggle to understand why you needed Jim to be called home! Help them be together and remember all the good times they had with him and help them to know that someday they will be together with him again. Amen

When I first started at New Hanover Church, I would arrive on Sunday mornings at 7am. I would always see a small brown truck in the parking lot. I thought, “who is here before I am”? I soon realized it was Jim. He was so pleasant to chat with. What a true gentleman. I will miss him. Rest in Peace.

Jim was a great stepdad to Darlene, and father-in-law to me. He was an awesome grandfather to our two sons, who freely gave of his time. Jim Boyer is one of the most caring and compassionate men I will ever know. I miss you Jim!
