On July 18, 2025, we lost our loving mother, Diane Mary Dahdah.
At 98 years old, she is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Raymond Joseph Dahdah, and her siblings, Peter Zaidan, John Zaidan, and Julia McDermit.
Born in Lebanon, Diane was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Emaline Zaidan.
At two years old and barely surviving the journey to her new homeland, Diane moved to the United States with her parents. She was to be the oldest of five siblings, and fundamental in helping her mother cook meals, care for the family and raise her siblings. She was a mother to all, as a young woman and as an adult, always nurturing and guiding. Diane gave selflessly of herself to everyone around her, sending her home cooked meals and always praying for those in need. She was intelligent and compassionate, exuding great strength yet the softest hearted, a devout and faithful Catholic, the most loving and wonderful mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt and friend. She loved her family to the core of her being.
Diane is survived by her children John Peter (Carol) Dahdah and Julia Ann (Scott) Strong, and grandchildren John Raymond Dahdah, Gabriella Vasile, and Alexander Vasile.
We miss and love her more than words can express, but we carry her guiding words in our minds and her gentle spirit in our hearts. She imparted her love, strength, humor, and faith in us. We celebrate her life and all that she was, and we were so very blessed that she was ours.
