Cynthia L. (Hostetter) Mercuri, 65, wife of Peter A. Mercuri, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at her home in Phoenixville.
Born in Camp Hill, PA, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Betty (Zeigler) Hostetter.
Cynthia was a Certified Financial Advisor. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Penn State University. Cynthia was a physical fitness advocate, an avid runner, and a faithful fan of Lehigh and Penn State football. She was very involved in Turning Point Ministries with David Jeremiah. Her close friend at Turning Point was Linda Creel.
Cynthia will always be remembered as an encourager who inspired those she touched especially during difficult times. Her beautiful personality motivated others to achieve their personal as well as their career goals. Cynthia’s motivation came from her devotion to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She took advantage of every opportunity to share the Gospel message as the one, true source of joy, peace, and salvation,
Surviving along with her husband Peter, is his son Alex Mercuri; her brothers Kurt Hostetter and Kerry Hostetter, husband of Cheryl; niece Dr. Madison Hostetter, wife of Adrian Davies; nephew Joshua Hostetter; nieces Kaylin and Serena Hostetter; cousins Glen and Shirley Eshelman; her close friends the Scheller’s, Margo Sorenti, Ali Fox, and Theo Langren, Judy Grieve and family, Jean Mull; and her beloved dog Grace.
A Celebration of her Life service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 3pm at Valley Forge Baptist Church, 616 S. Trappe Rd, Collegeville, PA 19426 with Pastor Scott Wendal officiating. A visitation will also be held on Saturday November 8, 2025, from 2-3pm at the church. The burial will be held privately at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cynthia Mercuri Scholarship Fund.
