Patricia Ann Moyer, 76

Patricia Ann Moyer (Ackerman), beloved wife of Douglas G. Moyer and daughter of Leroy Ackerman and the late Dorothy Ackerman, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, just 12 days shy of her 77th birthday.

Born on November 10th, 1948, she spent her entire life dedicated to her family and loved ones. She is survived by her husband of almost 59 years, Doug, their three children Wendy Pollock (Mike), Ted Moyer (Iris) and Kelly Soto, as well as her brother Steve Ackerman (Barbara), sisters Bonnie Reppert (David) and Susan Stompf (the late Ronald). She also leaves behind her pride and joy, her seven grandsons Mikey (Caitlin) and Evan (Sophie) Pollock, Sage, Tavian (Brianna) and Haydn Moyer and Trent and Trey Soto, along with the light of her life, her two great granddaughters Aubrey and Sophie Pollock. Her favorite place to be was wherever her grandchildren were.

She stepped into every role she had with full force. Whether it was as a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt or friend, she gave it her all. She will always be remembered for her big smile, her warm laugh, how she was present for every one of her grandchildren at every sporting event, chorus concert, musical and birthday, which always included her special one-of-a-kind homemade cake just for them, and how much she enjoyed sitting in her favorite spot on Avalon Beach. She was not a mom/grammy that you saw every few weeks, she was there for every moment and in every memory. She was the heartbeat of our family.

Thank you, Grammy, for loving our family with your whole heart. Thank you for being the kind of friend everyone deserves. Thank you for fighting every single day until the very end to be with us. You always put us first, even during your illness. You will always be the heart of our family, and we will keep your spirit alive with every laugh, every tear, and every story we tell. You will be missed beyond measure and cherished every single day for the rest of our lives.

At her request, there will be no formal service, but our family welcomes you to honor her memory through a donation to The Center at Spring Street, 200 West Spring St., Boyertown, PA 19512 (online boyertownareamulti-service.org) or to the ALS Association at als.org. Let’s find a cure for this horrible disease.

Add My Condolences

To all who knew & loved Patsy:
She will be missed dearly but her spirit will always live within me. Best friends since late elementary school thru high school. She has taken her higher place and will watch over us, one and all.
My deepest sympathy to Doug and her entire family, father Leroy, sisters Bonnie and Suzie.

What a beautiful tribute to your mom. It touched on every aspect of her. We will all miss her for a very long time to come. PLEASE, now that the glue to your family is no longer walking on this earth, hold the family together. Without love and your family, there will be an empty spot in your heart. Honor her by gathering when possible. Talk about her, remember her, laugh about things. Grieve in the way that feels right for you and as long as it takes to get to the other side of the storm, where things feel better again. There is no "right" way to grieve. It surely takes time. Make sure to check in on your dad often. She loved him so, and he will have a quiet home like he never had before. These are things I am sure you are already doing, but you know good old Aunt Susie, she has to write it all down. I love you all, and hope peace will find you soon! So glad Pappy and I got to spend time with her before she passed. ALS is a terrible disease and she didn't deserve it!

I am so sorry for your family’s loss. Pat was such a wonderful lady and we were so lucky to live across the street and get to be neighbors with her and Doug for so many years. My kids lovingly called her “Trent’s Grammy” as she always welcomed them into their home and she never hesitated to include them along with her own grandkids.I always enjoyed catching up with her when I’d run into her after we moved and she was ALWAYS smiling. Hugs to you all, she will be greatly missed.
