John David Toth, 58

John David Toth, 58, of Lower Pottsgrove, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025, at his home.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of James Donald Toth and Dorothy (Dotty) Jean (Marcin) Toth.

John was a graduate of Pottsgrove High School class of 1985, where he was on the football, wrestling, and baseball teams. He went on to receive his degree from Penn State University. Following Penn State, earned his Master’s Degree at Ursinus College. John was a sports enthusiast. He was an avid PSU athletics fan and a Philadelphia Sports fan. He had been involved in youth sports for many years. John volunteered as a coach for the Challenger Baseball Program where they coached leagues for children with disabilities. Outside of his love for coaching, John was an avid runner and raced in several marathons. Above all else, John loved his children and was a wonderful father and son.

Surviving along with his parents Jim and Dotty, are his children Joshua Toth, fiancé of Carly; Justin Toth, Emily Toth, Natalie Toth, and Karlee Toth; brother Jimmy Toth, husband of Lauren; brother Jeff Toth; and several extended family members. He is predeceased by Aunt Ginger May and Cousin Scott May.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 11:00AM at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church (2203 Harmonyville Rd, Elverson, PA 19520) with Rev. Serge Brevert officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Carmel UMC Cemetery. A visitation will also be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 10:00AM-11:00AM at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (https://www.michaeljfox.org/) in John’s name.

My sincerest condolences. John was one of my first friends at Pottsgrove after I moved to PA. Spent many an hour in his basement lifting weights and of course the wrestling team together. I know he will be sorely missed. May His blessings and peace be with you always, and may John’s memory bring you joy.
