Sam Boughter, 70

Sam Boughter, 70, of Pine Forge, husband of Cindy (Shirey) Boughter of 50 years, passed away Friday January 9, 2026 at the Phoenixville Hospital surrounded by his family.

Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Robert and Mildred (Stephen) Boughter.

Sam was a graduate of Boyertown High School Class of 1973. Growing up, he played Legion baseball for both Boyertown and Pine Forge. After high school, he worked for Ehrlich Pest Control for 38 years where he worked up to District Manager. Sam enjoyed spending time with his family at Myrtle and Rehoboth Beaches. He loved watching his children and grandchildren play baseball. Sam had a great sense of humor that will be dearly missed.

Surviving along with his wife is his sons Sam Boughter, Jr. and Grant Boughter; grandchildren Zach and Ethan Boughter; sisters Donna Fryer wife of Michael and Diane Schueck wife of Merle; sister-in-law Paula Boughter; and numerous loving nephews.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Robin Boughter.

A celebration of Sam’s life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sam’s memory to Pine Forge Baseball

What good neighbors for over Forty years . Cindy and I was pregnant at the same time with Grant and Mark.Grant and Mark still best of friends. Sam will be sorely missed.

I knew Sammy since elementary school where we used to play Boys Chase the Girls at recess. I have such fond memories of him through the years. My heartfelt sympathies to all of Sam's family, especially to Cindy, the love of his life, and his boys, Sam and Grant. May he rest in peace.

I knew Sam for more than 35 years. Sam was a top notch guy and very devoted to Ehrlich, his colleagues & customers. I had the opportunity to spend time with Sam during company conference. He will be dearly missed.
